Lady Gaga’s Heartfelt Tribute to Fan at Golden 1 Center Concert

Lady Gaga brought the Joanne World Tour to Golden 1 Center on Tuesday, Aug. 15. While the show was everything we would expect from the queen of pop, one special moment particularly touched the sold-out arena.

Halfway through the concert, Lady Gaga sat at the piano to play an acoustic rendition of “Edge of Glory.” She dedicated the song to a fan she had met backstage, by the name of Courtney McArthur.

She was also featured in the Golden 1 Center video below:

McArthur says Gaga helped her in her youth as a closeted gay with the album, Born This Way, but that the album Joanne helped her in dealing with the passing of her aunt. She gave Gaga her late Aunt’s pearl necklace as a token of her gratitude, which the popstar wore proudly on stage.

Courtney told Golden 1 Center her plan to gift Gaga this necklace and what it meant to her while filming the LGBT tribute video weeks before.

Check out Courtney’s reaction post to this heartfelt dedication in this piece by Buzzfeed.
