Regional Transit to Offer Free Rides on Light Rail for NCAA Tournament at Golden 1 Center

This Friday, March 17, Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) will host a Free Ride Day for Golden 1 Center event ticketholders attending the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship tournament. SacRT’s light rail trains provide convenient service to Golden 1 Center on the Blue, Gold and Green lines.

Riders are encouraged to utilize any of SacRT’s 21 park-and-ride stations across the Sacramento region to travel to downtown Sacramento. Arena visitors have many light rail station options from every direction of travel to get to Golden 1 Center.

“We’re thrilled to provide Golden 1 Center guests with a clean, safe and convenient way to get to the arena,” said SacRT General Manager/CEO Henry Li. “SacRT’s park-and-ride stations provide commuters an alternative option to get downtown in-step with the city’s transportation plan.”
