Golden 1 Center Earns “Best Project” Honor from ENR California Magazine

Sacramento, Calif. — The Sacramento Kings today issued a statement in response to Golden 1 Center being named one of 2017’s “Best Projects” by Engineering News-Record California Magazine (ENR California). Golden 1 Center took top honor in the Sports/Entertainment category. The magazine reviewed nearly 100 projects located throughout California and Hawaii and evaluated each on their ability to overcome challenges, contributions to the industry and community, along with safety, construction and design quality.

Kings President John Rinehart released the following statement on behalf of the Sacramento Kings:

“As the one-year anniversary of Golden 1 Center approaches, we’re humbled to have our community venue recognized by one of California’s leading development authorities. Three years ago, Kings Owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadivé shared his vision for a transformative and iconic venue, and now, Sacramento is home to a world-class entertainment and sports facility that has energized the region and is recognized around the globe. ENR California’s praise confirms that we hit the mark, and we’re proud that we can continue to represent Sacramento on a global stage.”

On October 13 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom, ENR California will select one of this year’s top projects for “Project of the Year.” For more information visit: http://www.enrbestprojectsawards.com/
