Foo Fighters To Feature Paul McCartney On New Album

Upcoming Golden 1 Center performers, Foo Fighters, are dropping a new album in September called Concrete and Gold. According to a Rolling Stones article, the album will feature a few very special guest musicians, one of which being the one and only Paul McCartney.

Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters explains that McCartney plays drums on one track, and that the collaboration came together extremely quick.

Grohl refers to McCartney as “the most wonderful guy in the world” and explains that he hadn’t even heard the song prior to coming into the studio to record.

“He comes in and Dave picked up an acoustic and showed him real quick. He sat on his special drum set that his tech set up for him. I sat there with a drumstick conducting,” he says. “He did two takes.”

The Foo Fighters have also teased that there will be another surprise guest on the album (a pop star), but they are not revealing the identity just yet.

“[He or she] sings backup on one of the heaviest songs on the record. And we’re not telling anybody who it is,” Grohl says.
