Reno Bighorns to Play Two Home Games at Golden 1 Center

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Today, the Reno Bighorns announced they will host two home games in Sacramento at the world’s greenest and most technologically advanced sports venue, Golden 1 Center. The Bighorns will take on the Santa Cruz Warriors on February 24 and then host the Raptors 905 on March 3.

Earlier this year, the Sacramento Kings purchased a controlling interest in the Reno Bighorns and committed to share resources and work to grow Bighorns basketball. The Bighorns have been the NBA Development League affiliate of the Kings since 2008-09.

“When we purchased the Bighorns, we wanted to find unique ways to grow the team and introduce them to Kings fans,” said Kings President Chris Granger. “Bringing Bighorns basketball to Sacramento will allow Kings fans to see our rising talent as they grow their skills in the NBA Development League.”

“We’re excited to show Sacramento and Kings fans how fun and entertaining Bighorns basketball can be,” said Bighorns President Keenan Polan. “As a part of the Kings family, we’re seeing instant success with support and resources from the full backing of the business support staff, and the continued involvement from the basketball operations team. We’re excited to take advantage of our relationship and play in the world’s best arena.”

The Kings will join the Bighorns for affiliate games in Reno when the Bighorns take on the Salt Lake City Stars on January 29 and host the Northern Arizona Suns on April 1. Kings legends, Sacramento Kings Dancers, Mascot Slamson and more will be on hand to give fans in Reno an opportunity to connect directly with the Sacramento organization. The Kings will also host a youth basketball clinic in the community on both dates.

Select tickets will be available for less than $10 and will be available at RenoBighorns.com, SacramentoKings.com, and at the Golden 1 Center box office or by calling 888-91-KINGS.
