Janet Jackson Tour To Stop In Houston, Has ‘Special Plans’

After months of intense rehearsal, Janet Jackson has finally kicked off her State of the World Tour. With her second scheduled in Houston, Texas, many wondered if the singer would continue her show, due to the devastating toll of Hurricane Harvey.

The singer took to Twitter to let her fans know one thing: the show will go on.

“I know there’s been rumors on whether we were gonna do the show in Houston or we weren’t going to do the show in Houston,” she said. “I’m here to tell you that we’re going to do the show in Houston.”

The “Rhythm Nation” singer continued to say that the city can expect something extra special for those affected by the hurricane.

“We’re gonna roll in early ’cause we want to visit some of the shelters and not just visit some of the shelters, we want to do something special for the victims. So I will see you Friday.”
