Sacramento, Calif. – On Thursday night in Dublin, Ireland, TheStadiumBusiness Awards selected Sacramento Kings Owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadivé as Executive of the Year saluting the impact the franchise has had on the region. Golden 1 Center was also honored with the Venue Technology award for the next-generation infrastructure developed to enhance the fan experience.

TheStadiumBusiness Awards recognize leadership, innovation & achievement in the delivery, operation and management of premier sports facilities and venues around the globe. A seven-member, independent panel comprised of sports and stadium business leaders around the world selected both honors for the 7th edition of the annual awards.
In the venue’s first nine months, Golden 1 Center has been honored as the Sports Business Journal’s Sports Facility of the Year, Sports Technology Awards’ Best Elite Sports Facility or Venue, and a 2017 American Architecture Award recipient. CNBC, Fast Company, and Sport Techie have highlighted the innovations that have created a new fan experience at the most technologically advanced arena in the world.
