This weekend, Heretic Brewing Company will launch Evil3, their annual limited release beer.
Golden 1 Center will be the only place in the world outside of the brewery – located in Fairfield, CA – pouring this special craft selection this Saturday. It will be located at the beer cart in the arena’s Grand Entrance.
Evil3 is a collaboration between three friends – Mitch Steele, Tasty McDole and Jamil Zainasheff. The beer is brewed at Heretic Brewing Company, which owned by Zainasheff. This is the fourth year the three have come together to brew the triple IPA.
The 11.5-percent beer is deceptively easy to drink and bursting with hoppy goodness. This year, the hops in the brew include Citra, Amarillo and Simcoe. Along with the Evil Twin and Evil Cousin, it is also the third “Evil” brand that Heretic brews.
The limited-edition release is only available for a few weeks. Outside of Northern California, only a special few select pubs around the world will enjoy the taste of Evil3. After the Golden 1 Center and local release, the well-recognized beer will head to California’s Central Coast, Portland, Boise, southern Florida and other cities around America. Overseas, it will be introduced to Denmark, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Thailand and other destinations.
Golden 1 Center is home to sport’s leading food and beverage sourcing program. Sacramento is considered the most bountiful agricultural region in the world and 90 percent of the arena’s food, ingredients and beverages are acquired from within 150 miles of the building. This hyper-local sourcing has provided the regional brewing community a great platform to showcase their beer at various events, games and shows in the heart of Sacramento. Currently, Golden 1 Center is home to over 40 different local craft beers.
