Billie Eilish Defies Gravity on Season Opener of Saturday Night Live

Over the weekend, Billie Eilish was the musical guest for the season opener of Saturday Night Live, with host Woody Harrelson. She had two stunning performances — hit single “bad guy” and “i love you”. Both songs are from her most recent album, WHEN WE ALL FALL SLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?

Her performance of “i love you” was a dreamy acoustic set, with just her and her brother, Finneas O’Connell, on stage. The pair sat on stools with a starry screen behind them. O’Connell played the guitar and sang along with Eilish. “i love you” highlights Eilish’s beautiful vocals — she effortlessly croons into the microphone and gets lost in the music. The song and setting were a stark contrast to her performance of “bad guy”.

Eilish blew everyone away as she defied gravity during the performance of her hit song “bad guy”. In an optical illusion, Eilish walks and dances on the walls and ceiling of a small room. She ends up singing and dancing upside down and sideways, going hard to the music, all the while breaking the laws of physics. The performance highlights her eccentric style, while showcasing the uniqueness she is known for.

If she was able to defy gravity for an SNL performance, there is no doubt Eilish will have some amazing tricks and surprises up her sleeve for her WHERE DO WE GO? WORLD TOUR. We can’t wait for her to come to Sacramento on April 8, and see what incredible stunts she pulls off!
