The three-day weekend will mark the 18th consecutive year that the PBR’s premier tour has traveled to California’s capital city, and the fourth consecutive year inside the state-of-the-art home of the Sacramento Kings.

Typically held in mid- January, the annual event scheduled for early 2021 was postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions within the state.

California fans now have the opportunity to see a pivotal second half event as the Top-35 bull riders in the world attempt to collect crucial points on the line in the championship race to November’s PBR World Finals.

PBR was the first major professional sport in North America to welcome fans back to indoor arenas with new industry-leading protocols in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in July 2020 following the COVID-19 related shutdown, and also the first to offer a professional sporting event at full indoor-arena capacity when returning to Sioux Falls earlier this year on April 9-11.

In January of 2020, reigning PBR World Champion Jose Vitor Leme began his season-long hot streak in Sacramento as he collected his first event win of 2020 at Golden 1 Center. After going 4-for-4 over the weekend, Leme made the jump from the No. 6 spot in the PBR world standings to No. 2, thus strengthening his lead in the 2020 world standings early on and ultimately leading to his first PBR world title.
