Foo Fighters to be featured on PBS Docu-Series ‘Landmarks Live’

The trailer for the Foo Fighters’ feature on the PBS docu-series “Landmarks Live in Concert” has been released, and highlights the band performing in the Acropolis. The series premiered in January and features artists performing in significant venues, as well as exploring their respective city.

The episode will air Nov. 10 and will feature performances of hits such as, “Times Like These” and “Everlong.” In addition to live coverage of the concert itself, “Landmarks Live in Concert” will show the band exploring Athens with host Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

According to an article in Rolling Stone, the band recorded this concert at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus on the southwest slope of Acropolis in July. Dave Grohl says, “We’ve done some crazy things over the last 20 years, but I think this might be the craziest thing the Foo Fighters have ever done.”

The concert also includes a first look at a few songs on Foo Fighters’ upcoming album, “Concrete and Gold,” which will be released on Sept. 15.

Other episodes of the series have featured artists such as Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley and Andrea Bocelli.
