On February 4, as the Sacramento Kings take on the Memphis Grizzlies, the team will host Black History Month Night at Golden 1 Center, an evening celebrating the historical and cultural contributions that have shaped basketball, culture, and community in America. Fans will be welcomed by the Kings Drumline and Steppers, setting the tone for a game-day experience rooted in rhythm, artistry, and tradition, with in-game moments recognizing Black pioneers and cultural leaders, including a spotlight on Dolly King, one of the first African American professional basketball players. The night will also feature the Black Creators Market on the concourse, highlighting local artists and entrepreneurs across art, fashion, food, and lifestyle. In addition, Tip-Off Tastes presented by Delta Dental, will showcase a locally owned restaurant that reflects Sacramento’s diverse culinary scene. Through live performances, community-focused activations, and in-arena moments, Black History Month Night underscores the Kings commitment to education, inclusion, and creating welcoming experiences that unite fans through a shared love for the game of basketball.
