Urijah Faber Gets Fastest KO In Front Of Hometown Crowd

In 2016, UFC Hall-of-Famer, Urijah Faber announced his retirement from the octagon — or so he would have people think.

On July 13, the "California Kid" made his return to the main card when he faced Ricky Simon at Golden 1 Center. Here's the catch — the matchup between Faber vs. Simon didn't last long. The bout was 46 seconds to be exact.

At 40-years-old and now a new father, Urijah has an official record of 35-10 and grabbed his first KO win since 2007 on Saturday. What was the cherry on top of his "coming out of retirment" cake? This was Faber's fastest knockout ever.

If you were hyped to see Urijah make a full five-round return, don't worry, so were we. While this knockout was outrageously awesome, social media had a lot to say about the match.

After the fight, Urijah had plenty to say to the haters when they commented on his "old" age. In his post-fight interview Urijah challenged Henry Cejudo to a bout in the octagon. "I remember ten years ago when you [Cejudo] challenged me to a fight as a friendly gesture. I'm down to get down there and mix that up."

It seems like this "California Kid" isn't done fighting just yet.
