With over 12,000 people in attendance, Downtown Commons kicked off their first ever Block Party. Sacramento showed out to celebrate the revitalization of downtown, and check out all the exciting new additions to DOCO. Attendees heard live music galore—including a performance from Vanilla Ice— made their way through an Escape Room, took a try at axe-throwing, devoured delicious food and drink samples, watched a fashion show, jumped in on dance lessions, and much more.

#HOFdisposables: All of us here at HOF have so many memories of Downtown Plaza from when we were kids. We think about the places that were there before @golden1center & @sawyerhotel and just end up in awe. We think about the giant old Hard Rock guitar on 7th Street that’s now the @docosacramento sign and it’s just truly been unreal to watch everything transform these past several years. - And what’s even more unreal is that we’re actually getting to play a small part in this shaping of the “new downtown”. When we were approached by @docosacramento to support them in making sure their first ever Block Party was a success, it was a real sense of wow. We’re not just being seen as those people who throw crazy parties anymore. And that meant the world to us because we’ve been working overtime to be so much more than that. - And what a success the first ever DOCO Block Party was! Over 12,000 people from all over the Sacramento area showed up throughout the course of the 4 hour event! - We had a blast too. Our girl @itsdjfiji did her thing getting the vibes going on our stage, @hellasoosh killed it bringing out both @basivibe & @rawlegacydance, and our own @rxbbie_ in coordination with @identity_boutique turned out a fashion show that everyone stopped to watch. Oh, and seeing @vanillaiceofficial was pretty cool too. - We have another unreal opportunity that was recently presented to us being announced soon, so definitely stay tuned. - And thank you to all of you for helping us make Sacramento a place we’re proud to be from. We’re nothing without you believing in the experiences we continue to strive to create. ❤️🙌 - (photos by @rxbbie_)
