Taste Test: LowBrau’s Newest Golden 1 Center Location

How does the Local Eats version stack up to the original? One of our contributors finds out!

Many Sacramentans may recognize LowBrau from their L Street location, but local photographer Luke Cheng wanted to see if their newest set-up inside Golden 1 Center was any match.

With its modern take on traditional German Bierhalle dining, LowBrau’s Golden 1 Center stop offers a variety of house-made sausages, golden fries and several toppings. Luke opted for the Polish Dog with a side of Dirty Duck Fries - naturally adding cheese to both. He took a bite into the pretzel-like specialty bun and with raised eyebrows and wide eyes, gave the viewers a firm thumbs-up.

Tucked in the corner next to the Sierra Nevada Draught House and overlooking the court – it’s the perfect spot for a mid-game break. According to Luke, “it’s worth looking for.”
