“World-class entertainment will have a new home in downtown Sacramento,” said Kings Owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadivé. “Amazingly passionate fans, next-generation acoustics, and an iconic setting will ensure that Golden 1 Center will become a must-play for artists and entertainers of every genre. Hosting Maroon 5 during our opening week, one of the world’s most popular acts, is a great indicator of what’s to come.”

From the floor to the ceiling, Golden 1 Center has been designed to hold the world’s most elaborate and advanced entertainment. Oversized hangar doors above the main entrance allow the facility to take advantage of Sacramento’s temperate evening climate. Advanced rigging and staging can accommodate larger tours and the equipment needed for robust productions. Artists and special guests will be treated to new plush accommodations.

“This new arena is going to energize an entire region with a new concert experience that will rival most markets,” said Live Nation Northern California President Jodi Goodman. “We are extremely excited to be part of Golden 1 Center’s debut to the market bringing in Maroon 5, one of music’s most entertaining and talented bands in the world. We look forward to a brilliant future in this venue that will add to the culture and growth of Northern California.”

Golden 1 Center sits in Sacramento’s new entertainment and culture district, Downtown Commons (DOCO). DOCO restaurants and retailers will provide new dining and entertainment options for guests before events and shows. The Sacramento concert experience will now include technology advances that will help fans find available parking and the shortest lines, farm-to-fork concessions alongside arena favorites and upgrades to fan comfort including improved seats and wider concourses.
